Zin Collective is a labor of love for winemaker Jamey Whetstone. After spending his formative years in the wine business working for none other than Turley, he has become a passionate advocate for sustainable viticulture and a style of Zin that is fresh, brambly and balanced. As the name suggests, Zin Collective is sourced from like-minded vineyards scattered along the North Coast with a few choice sites in Lodi as well. Jamey has developed relationships that allow him to source this great fruit at prices that make Zin Collective a go-to.

Fermented in stainless steel and aged in a combination of 75% French oak and 25% American oak barrels, 15% total new oak.
Tasting Note
“Ruby red in color, expressive, rich nose full of rhubarb, blackberry pie and brambly red fruits. Secondary notes of Vanilla and spice box. Medium-bodied mouthful of blackberry, ripe red currant, and black cherry. Supple tannins and perfect acidity buoy and brighten a lengthy finish framed with a trace of tobacco and baker’s chocolate.”
– Jamey Whetstone, Winemaker
Suggested Food Pairing
The Zin Collective Zinfandel pairs perfectly with BBQ sauces, burgers, chili, and other spiced and grilled foods, but it also pairs well with chocolate-based desserts.
