"Beautifully balanced and elegant"
Jeb Dunnuck - June 15, 2020
"Moving to the reds, the 2017 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast comes from a mix of the single vineyard releases and spent 18 months in just 20% new French oak. Awesome notes of kirsch, wild strawberries, toasted spice, and flowery incense all emerge from the glass, and this beauty is supple, medium to full-bodied, and seamless on the palate. While it's a big wine, it stays beautifully balanced and elegant."
"Sumptuous, bold and flamboyant"
Vinous - June 10, 2020
"Super-ripe red cherry, kirsch pomegranate, mint, blood orange, kirsch and exotic spice all run through the 2017 Pinot Noir Frei Road. Sumptuous, bold and flamboyant, the Frei Road is decidedly extroverted in every way. Soft curves and voluptuous fruit add to its exuberant personality. The Frei Road Pinot is not all subtle, but this fruit feels so well-suited to Matt Courtney's style."
