St. Supéry Dollarhide Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2021 (90 WA)
“A portion (16%) of the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Dollarhide Estate Vineyard was matured in wood, so there’s a delicate hint of pencil shavings on the nose, accenting scents of fig, melon and tangerine. It’s a bit riper and fleshier in the mouth than the estate bottling but still with excellent freshness and a bright, crisp finish.” – September 2022
St. Supéry Dollarhide Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2021
The Dollarhide Estate Sauvignon Blanc showcases the power and elegance of the Dollarhide Ranch most elegantly. The fruit primarily comes from one parcel within the vineyard, featuring almost 40-year-old vines and deep sandy loam. A gentle amount of new French oak and lees aging rounds out and relaxes the profile of this robust white wine.
Established in the early 1980s, St. Supéry combines Bordelais winemaking tradition with Napa Valley terroir to produce the highest quality estate wines possible. Famed for their acquisition of the Dollarhide Vineyard in northeastern Rutherford, the winery is one of only a handful that can boast 100% estate owned fruit. This, plus their strict adherence to sustainable agriculture and winemaking, have established St. Supéry as a leader of Napa Valley, with consistently great vintages to their name and a bright future to look forward to.
