About this video
Part of the Tommasi winery estates, Podere Casisano represents a life-long dream of the Tommasi family to begin producing top-quality Brunello di Montalcino wines in Tuscany. Born and refined in the Veneto region, the Tommasi estate maintains a strong emphasis on a family-run approach although their territorial holdings have indeed expanded over the past decades.
The elegant product of many decade’s worth of wine producing know-how, albeit in the Veneto region, the Tommasi family has dedicated themselves whole-heartedly to their wine endeavour in the Montalcino region. Working with local wine experts to refine and produce this stupendous wine, we can all tip our collective hats at the dedication Tommasi has shown in their realization of their life-long wine-making dream.
So what does the Podere Casisano Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2015 hold in store for us? In the hands of Mamablip’s Tuscan grape trotter, Filippo Bartolotta, we’ll be in for a ride through expressive terroir, sunshine-drenched hills, fascinating micro-climates, and a sea-breeze coming in from the Mediterranean.
Sit back, and let the Slavonian-aged Casisano Brunello 2015 wash right over your palate. Graceful in its presence, a lingering finish, and red fruity notes ensure this will be a wine not to be forgotten soon. Tommasi’s strong knowledge and devotion to the Montalcino region is a welcome addition to the Montalcino.

Casisano Brunello di Montalcino
Casisano’s Brunello di Montalcino is distinguished by its elegance and its deep ruby red color. It unites potency and refinement and has excellent aging potential. The wine presents a good concentration on the mid-palate and a persistent aftertaste, with a rounded and voluptuous body, and interesting, silky tannins, typical of the prestigious wines of Montalcino. With its tempting perfumes of red berries and its clean freshness, the complexity of this wine presents an excellent balance.
