When describing the Clos du Papillon Savennières, the writer adds “Like the butterfly adorning its bottle, this is a wine that takes flight: fresh, mineral-driven, white pear and green plum. Pretty texture—slight but not too heavy creaminess.” In comparison, the Savennières offers “More white and green fruit notes (pear, apple) with a touch of almond skin. Classic wet-stone minerality.”
