“The 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Clos Des Mouches is a beauty! Its medium gold hue as well as ripe orchard fruits, white flowers, caramelized citrus, and green almond notes give way to a medium-bodied, nicely balanced Beaune that shows the richer, forward style of the vintage. Beautifully balanced, with good freshness and purity, it’s opens up with time in the glass and I suspect will evolve for a solid 7-8 years in cool cellars.”
